CBT (Cognitive Behavioral therapy) helps individuals to look at the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Knowing those relationships brings awareness of thinking patterns.
CBT can be used for depression, anxiety, PTSD, or eating disorders.
Sometimes CBT needs to be accompanied by medication to help. CBT is helpful to manage stressful life situations (Mayo Clinic, 2025).
I had used CBT to manage my depression. Most recently, I started a job working at a detox center. I found CBT helpful for relapse prevention. I am appreciative of others sharing their CBT experiences because I have learned so much from them. Feel free to share your success story with CBT.
